PORTFOLIO
The objective was to address a challenge that all users face, transcending age and diverse demographic groups. In today's modern society, preferences and technological literacy levels vary widely. However, almost everyone has to manage their finances. Whether it's a daily occurrence or a monthly task, handling money necessitates a significant level of trust in one's banking institution.
In bustling urban environments, the pace at which both cities and their patrons operate sets them apart from more localised establishments. Often, expediting the checkout process is mutually beneficial for both customers and businesses. For users, this translates to enhanced flexibility, especially concerning time management. Simultaneously, restaurants stand to gain from quicker table turnover and optimised staff utilisation.
My initiation into the field of UX began with a practical exercise within the first stages of Google UX Design course. The challenge involved devising a solution for a bustling metropolitan café branch, where customers encountered issues such as extended wait times for their take-away beverages and the complexities of managing batch orders.

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to explore my work!
If you’re curious about the “who” behind this portfolio — here’s a bit about me:
I’m Andrea, a product designer with over 14 years of multidisciplinary design experience. My journey started in architecture, which I studied at the Czech Technical University, and ran a small architectural studio with my brother. That foundation eventually led me into interior design for hospitality, bringing me to London, and later into the world of digital product design.
The transition happened gradually, through branding collaborations, UX research, and helping friends in tech startups bring their early products to life. That hands-on growth eventually led me to a senior UX designer role at Unicorn, one of the Czech Republic’s leading IT companies. There, I naturally stepped into a broader product design role, shaping key internal tools and systems used by hundreds of thousands of users.
What do I bring to the table?
A mix of perspectives shaped by my cultural background, curiosity, and challenges I’ve been through:
My Balkan energy and temperament in embracing challenges with genuine interest and passion
My Czech sense of balance in being grounded and always looking for the harmony between reason and intuition
And my British experience, where working with diverse teams and cultures has helped me embrace nuance and navigate complexity with care
I’m communicative, dedicated, and reliable. I've grown to love the "the best idea wins" approach and feed on the energy of things that make sense. and serves a purpose.
